Terms of Use

These terms are an agreement between you and UnitedScribePlus Pvt Ltd. By using Alap you accept them. If you do not, do not use the app.

You must be 18

Alap is for adults. You confirm you are 18 or over when you sign up, and we close accounts we find are not.

Your account

Your phone number is your identity here. Keep access to it — losing the number means losing the account, because there is no email or password to fall back on. Do not let anyone else use your account, and do not create one on someone else's behalf.

What Alap is for

Alap exists for adults who are honest about the structure of their relationships — open, polyamorous, negotiated, or monogamous and clear about it. Being on Alap says nothing about anyone except that they are willing to be open about what they want.

Things you must not do

Lie about your age, or help anyone under 18 to use Alap.
Impersonate anyone, or use photographs that are not of you.
Harass, threaten, stalk or intimidate another member.
Share another member's identity, photographs, messages, or the fact that they are on Alap. This is the one we treat most seriously — for many members it is a safety matter, not a privacy preference.
Use Alap for sex work, solicitation, or to advertise any commercial service.
Send sexual content to someone who has not asked for it.
Post anything sexual involving minors. We report this to the authorities, always, without exception.
Ask members for money, run a scam, or use Alap to recruit for anything.
Scrape the app, automate it, or try to break it.

Consent, screenshots and discretion

Do not screenshot a conversation or a profile and put it somewhere else. What people tell you here, they told you. Exposing a member — to their family, their employer, their community, or the internet — is grounds for permanent removal, and may be a criminal matter.

Safety is your responsibility too

We verify, we moderate, and we give you tools to block and report. We cannot vet everyone, and we do not run background checks. Meet in public the first time, tell someone where you are going, and use the check-in feature. If someone frightens you, report them.

Moderation and removal

We can suspend or remove an account that breaks these terms. Serious cases — anything involving a minor, credible threats of violence, or exposing another member — are removed immediately and permanently, and may be reported to the police. Bans key on more than the account alone, so creating a new one to evade a ban does not work and is itself a breach.

Your content

What you write and the photographs you upload remain yours. You give us permission to store and display them inside Alap so the product can work, and nothing more — we do not use your photographs in advertising and we do not license them to anyone.

What we do not promise

Alap is provided as it is. We do not promise you will meet anyone, that the service will never be unavailable, or that every member is who they say they are. To the extent Indian law allows, our liability is limited to what you have paid us in the preceding twelve months.

Ending it

You can delete your account at any time — see how. We can end your access if you break these terms.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at CITY have jurisdiction. Confirm this clause with counsel — it must match the registered office.

Grievance Officer

Complaints: APPOINT AND NAME A PERSON, grievance@…. Acknowledged within 24 hours, resolved within 15 days.
